Soul Strut Meeting in Köln!!!

Zwar muß ich in Berlin auflegen,(Coffy , Mastul e.V.) aber alle Bonner Funkfreunde sollten da auf jeden Fall mal reinschauen....!!!


The SOUL STRUT European Meeting 2006

Will take place on the:
4-6 August 2006 in Cologne Germany

The quick outline is:
Clubnight, BBQ & Swapmeet, Diggin Tour


The long form:

SSEM2006 Schedule:

- Friday daytime as early as you want : Check in or just build up your tent, do some record shopping, etc...
- Friday night from 11pm to Cat Stevens (morning has broken): Disco Diamant vs. The Euro Strutters
- Saturday like De La says: Record Shopping (dry out my city you thirsty leeches)
till 6pm from then on official Euro Strutters BBQ and fantastic romantic candlelight swapmeet at the riversite :-)
- Sunday: Recover from record nerding burnout syndrome and hangover (aspirins will
NOT be provided by the organizing team!!!) breakfast, eventually a Cologne Brewery
research? leave homewards!

Things that will be organized:
- Special club fee for ESS-PPL on friday night
- BBQ Spot and BBQ equipment, drinks will be sold cheap
- music for the BBQ swapmeet
- guided record diggin tour

Things that will NOT be organized:
- place to crash (sleep)
- BBQ food (supermarkets are open till 8pm on sat, get yusself wut you like)
- portable record playas for the diggin tour
- ESSM06 Tee's and other cheese or memoriabilia

Clubnight will feature Soul Strut DJs versus Disco Diamant in wild mix from 11pm to 1am,
from then on Disco Diamant will play for all strutters and guests.

The BBQ will be at another place now!

Due to logistical reasons and enhanced reachability for all non-cologne visitors
we will do the BBQ on the great meadow behind Maybachstrasse, Cologne.

With tram (lines 12, 15) or "S"-trains (S6,S11,S12,S13) its best to ride to "Hansaring" & then go (<5 minutes) in direction of the big "SATURN" shop building, take the street "Ritterstrasse" left to the shop and go straight forward & you can already see the big meadow.

We will reside in a big blue tent with soundsystem and drinks, just follow the smell of Steaks & Ribs then :-)



The wheather forecast is great: only 25% rain probability and warm but not record melting hot!!!

Make sure to bring stuff to trade, sell or cash money!!
